Last week, before I attempted my first install, patch 1.4.0 was released and there was server maintenance. connected Xbox to mobile hotspot to rule out Router and ISP, the problem persists.
network engineer reviewed my issue, configuration and trace route, and confirmed that the ISP isn’t doing any further NATing They’ve tried telling me ping is too high or I’m double NATted but this is not the case. Ubisoft still think it is my network but I do not believe this to be the case. However Xbox live services do not seem to work properly with OpenDNS. It indicates there is temporary network problem (error 0x80832003) but let’s me continue in offline mode. installed CyberPunk 2077 and patch downloaded automatically without issueĪC Valhalla gets further with OpenDNS set. uninstalled AC Odyssey and reinstalled fine, patch downloaded and game ran Forza Horizon 5 downloaded and plays fine uninstalled AC Valhalla and reinstalled from Disc UPDATE: documenting in case others have this issue. Are the game patches hosted by Microsoft of the game publisher?Ĭan anyone suggest anything else I can try? I note there was a planned outage on the 11th November for several hours that effected AC Valhalla but the issue has been consistent all day on the 12 and so far this morning on the 13th. They eventually told me to contact Ubisoft support (who I haven’t been able to get hold of in my region). I contacted Microsoft who took me through a number of steps from uninstalling the game, clearing caches, removing my profile, down to resetting the Xbox. The error number (0x8b050033) indicates Xbox server issue although the Xbox service status was green. Updates and downloads of other games work okay and I seem to have enough space for the patch and game. For my first attempt I tried the normal insert disc and accept upgrade, but I’ve tried to install from disc while offline then install the patch after. I am told the game needs an upgrade/update first but it fails almost instantly.
